The league fixtures were finally released by the BCL committee last night and they have now been updated on our site: Click here for 1st XI and 2nd XI Fixtures.

In short, RVs start their league campaigns on the 1st May, 2010 with the 1st XI (Div1) visiting Emmbrook & Bearwood (1s). JimB's first game in charge of the 2s (Div3) will be home against Welford Park (1s).The 2010 league campaign concludes on the 28th August, 2010 with the 1st XI hosting our friends from Pinkneys Green (1s) and the 2nd XI finishing off with a trip to a picturesque Crown Wood (2s).

Please note there are no bye weeks for the 1st XI but the 2nd XI have no league fixtures booked for the 5th June (Hereford Tour weekend) and 7th August. If demand exists, we will be looking to book additional friendly fixtures on those dates.

The club has also booked a full program of Sunday & Midweek friendlies with further games to be booked during the season. There are also 3 club games being arrange, namely the Club Day (24th April), Abid's Memorial game (30th June) and the Presidents XI fixture (5th Sept). So please keep checking the site for details and hopefully we shall see members, both old & new, at these events.

There are less than 38 days to go until the season kicks off with the Club Day (further details will be circulated shortly). Lets hope the weather warms up further before then. Here's wishing all Ruislip Victorians a splendid 2010 season.

Its only 50 days until the 2010 season kicks off with a Club game being organised at Greenford. Watch this space for details!

We are kicking off the Winter nets at the Jewish Free School on Saturday 6 Feburary. Nets will run to the beginning of the season. 2.30pm-4.30pm. All (members/non members)welcome. £5 per session. The JFS is located at The Mall, Kenton, Middlesex, HA3 9TE.

WE WON! 8-3 Don`t ask me how?????????? (ok i know how..it was me:) Lot of layers of rust to scrape off and raising of fitness levels required! Bridger was turning red!!!!!!!!! Still we had fun..kind of. Playing leaders next week think we`ll be starting that game second favourites!


RVCC Club Captain & defensive lynch-pin, Ilija Krunic [aka The Serbian Assassin], has entered a team (called Ruislip Victoria of course) into a 5-a-side league at GOALS Wembley (near Hanger Lane/Alperton) on Monday nights, starting tonight!

Ilija has taken over a team bottom of the 7:30pm (Serie B) league - so of course the only way is up! - and should be OK for tonight (the legandary cousins are in town) but he is looking for players after that.

So to confirm, games will start at 7:30pm on Monday nights and there are 10 weeks left in this season (finishing on the 8th March), with a new season starting straight after. Check out the GOALS website for more details. A map of the area is below:

RVCC Annual General Meeting 2009

It is my pleasure to advise that the 51ST “RVCC AGM-FOR 2009” will take place at the Club House at Birkbeck on Sunday 29TH November starting at 5pm.

As Club Secretary, I will post full Agenda details including RVCC Year End Accounts a little nearer the time, but in the meantime please find enclosed last years minutes for a good read beforehand.

If I could remind every member, who wishes to send in rule amendments or discussion items for the Agenda, that they must be received by me NO LATER THAN 19TH NOVEMBER 2009.

Please note doors are open from 4pm on the night.

PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND, this is your annual chance to shape Ruislip Victoria for season 2010.

A couple of dates for your diaries...

Ilija (aka the Serbian Playboy) would like to confirm that he has organised a post-season get together at "his" restaurant CIBO in Russell Gardens (off Holland Road) for Friday 6th Novemeber at 8pm.

There's a planned meet-up in the Kensington pub close by (next to the Georgian embassy) from 6pm onwards so pass it on. Map of the area is below...

Ilija would like it if people could say yes or no so he has a clue as to numbers so if anyone is interested, please let him know ASAP. Hope to see some of you there ;-)

Also, the date of the AGM is confirmed as Sunday, 29th November at the clubhouse. Full details will be distributed in the very near future. Finally, pre-season nets for 2010 will take place at Aldenham School on Saturday mornings (open to all) and at Lords during the week (by invite only). More details will be provided at the AGM and confirmed on here in due course.
